The Junior Braves/RBI Youth Baseball League presented by Delta Air Lines offers youth ages 5-18 the opportunity to play baseball. Teams are formed in underserved neighborhoods where recreation programs are most needed.
The League is designed to increase minority youth participation and interest in baseball, encourage academic achievement, develop self-esteem, teach the value of teamwork and encourage youth to engage in community service.
More than 3,200 youth participate in the League each year which is facilitated through community partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, the Metro Atlanta YMCA, City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation, Pattillo RBI, Jerry Clark Foundation and the L.E.A.D. Middle School Baseball Development League.
Jr. Braves play begins in April and concludes in August; League activities include clinics with Braves players, umpire visits, Jr. Braves Night at the ballpark and a community project.
