LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated right-handed pitcher Cory Wade from the 15-day disabled list and designated for assignment right-hander Tanyon Sturtze. General Manager Ned Colletti made the announcement.

Wade is 2-1 with a 2.56 ERA in 40 appearances with Los Angeles. He was placed on the DL on August 14, retroactive to August 9, with right shoulder inflammation. The 25-year-old rookie made one rehabilitation appearance, tossing a scoreless inning on Monday for the Dodgers' Single-A Great Lakes club.

Wade had worked more innings (52.2) than any Dodgers reliever from the time he was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on April 24 to the time he was placed on the DL. He ranks fifth in ERA among rookie relievers.

Sturtze tossed 2.1 scoreless innings over three relief appearances for Los Angeles after having his contract purchased from Las Vegas on August 14.
