While the Dodgers hosted the Angels on Monday night, the Los Angeles Kings were busy winning their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Today, Bob Miller -- the Kings' television announcer since 1973 -- joined 710 ESPN Radio's Mason and Ireland to discuss the series-clinching Game 6.
Unannounced, legendary Dodgers play-by-play man Vin Scully called the program and congratulated his colleague.
Scully remembered a picture of himself, Miller and former Lakers announcer Chick Hearn -- one he said he would not "trade for all the ice in the Stanley Cup."
"My first thought was that picture," said Scully. "Second was you finally getting a ring."
