Thumb injury doesn't slow down Gordon at Fan Cave
Whether it's beating teammate Jerry Hairston in pool or keeping up with his photography hobby, the cast on Dee Gordon's right arm hasn't slowed him down much off the field.
The Dodgers shortstop said the small day-to-day things have been the toughest adjustment since undergoing thumb surgery two weeks ago.
"I haven't quite mastered putting on lotion," Gordon said. "I always leave out this whole side of my arm."
Dryness aside, Gordon and Hairston enjoyed some pool and skee ball at the
MLB Fan Cave on Friday. They got a little work done too,
signing the wall and some gear -- although nobody signed Gordon's cast. The 24-year-old has some special plans for the cast once it's removed next month.
"James Loney has a charity bowling event coming up," Gordon said. "I'm having the whole team sign it and we're going to auction it off."
