The Astros CAREavan will once again reach far and wide throughout central and south Texas, Oklahoma City and parts of Houston. As part of the CAREavan, Astros players, alumni and front office staff will visit schools, hospitals and military bases; conduct youth baseball and softball clinics along with special shopping experiences and host free public autograph sessions at Academy Sports + Outdoors store locations.
Each year, the team's annual winter trek connects the team with its fan base. Several CAREavan stops are centered on the club's main community focus areas: supporting cancer-related causes, organizations that support the military and youth baseball and softball.
