Welcome to the command center of everyone's favorite alien, Orbit!
Orbit made his triumphant return to the Houston Astros in 2013 following a 12 year hiatus after serving as the Astros mascot from 1990-1999. While he took on a few different "looks" in the Astrodome days, he now looks like the lovable green guy we've come to know today. Although he may have taken a 12-year space-cation, he's been nothing short of spectacular since his return!
Since returning as the Astros official mascot prior to the 2013 season, Orbit has quickly become one of the most popular mascots in baseball and all of sports! Orbit's humorous routines have included interactions with several of MLB's top players, garnering nearly half a billion hits online. His creative stunts have been featured on several national media outlets including ESPN, Fox Sports and MTV. He was recognized for his efforts both on and off the field, being named "Best Mascot in Houston" by the Houston Press, and has been received the Best Mascot Award by GameOps.com in 2014 and 2015.
Orbit has also taken his show on the road and performed across the country and around the world. He is looking forward to bringing even more signature shenanigans and hilarious hijinks to Minute Maid Park, the Houston community and more for many light-years to come!
