The 2012 season marks the 50th anniversary of Dodger Stadium. To celebrate, the Dodgers will have special events and promotions throughout the year, including a FanFest in May, a Top 50 Moments vote, and special merchandise prices at Dodger Stadium. The Beach Boys will be leading off the celebration on Opening Day with the National Anthem and special performance.
Join the Dodgers on Sat., May 19 for FanFest! FanFest will take place from 12-6pm before the start of the 7:10pm game against the Cardinals. FanFest features autograph sessions with current and former Dodger players, Q&A sessions with Dodger players and coaches and more! Entry is included in the price of a ticket to the game.
Dodger fans, vote now on your favorite moments in Dodger Stadium History. The vote will take place online, and the results will be revealed starting in June with the #1 moment announced on October 3.
The Dodger Stadium 50th Anniversary logo features a panoramic view of the stadium's famed multi-colored seating decks.
Traditional Dodger Blue is complemented by the building's mid-century modern color palette, while the gold banner and lettering signify the golden anniversary.
The points on the sunburst each represent an MLB ballpark opened and closed for baseball use during the 50-year life span of Dodger Stadium.
The logo will appear on badges on the Dodgers uniforms during the 2012 season.
