"It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: A Child's First Look at Baseball" - By Larry Harper
As baseball fans, Vin Scully has touched each and every one of us in unimaginable ways. We have heard thousands of stories from people affected by Vin Scully, who grew up listening to him on their transistor radio every night, falling asleep to the most famous voice in baseball. Vin Scully changed baseball for the better and it will never be the same again. The way he announced each game made baseball more than a game. He turned each game into a beautiful story.
The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and The Good Tidings Foundation have collaborated to bring baseball fans together through a book about growing up with the love of baseball. We bring you the third edition of the book, "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" by Larry Harper. This book brings fans back to the time when they first fell in love with America's pastime. From listening to the game on the radio, to trading baseball cards, to the excitement of baseball season each spring.
The book contains a foreword from Vin Scully describing his love of baseball and his journey to becoming a Hall of Fame broadcaster with the Brooklyn and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Through this book, LADF and The Good Tidings Foundation would like to commemorate and thank Vin Scully for his 67 wonderful years dedicated to baseball, its fans, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
