The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) is pleased to announce that it will sponsor the ever- so-popular Jackie Robinson Foundation's JAZZ on the Grass event this year, on Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Sherman Oaks, California. As in past years, the proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Jackie Robinson Foundation, a 40-year old college scholarship program that provides both generous four-year college grants and comprehensive support services to highly motivated students of color with financial need.
JOTG is an afternoon of live performances, mouthwatering cuisine, and a silent auction. With the generous support of sponsors, JOTG continues to draw an influential crowd of 500 celebrities and community leaders each year, in support of JRF and its programs. We invite you and/or your organization to co-sponsor this exciting event. Sponsorship opportunities are designed to elevate your visibility in the community while supporting the vital mission of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. In addition to corporate sponsorships, we are offering individual tickets to this "JAZZ on the Grass event". We encourage you to purchase tickets early-as they are sure to sell out.
The Los Angeles Dodger Foundation is the official team charity of the Los Angeles Dodgers and is a public, not-for-profit organization. Our primary focus is to support our key cornerstone programs in sports/recreation; education/literacy; and health/wellness benefitting children and families throughout the greater Los Angeles region. By leveraging strategic partnerships, our goal is to harness the power of our brand and the passion our fans have for Los Angeles into a vehicle for positive change in under-served communities.
The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) is a public, not-for-profit, national organization founded in 1973 as a vehicle to perpetuate the memory of Jackie Robinson and his heroic achievements. The Foundation provides college and graduate school scholarships in conjunction with comprehensive programmatic support and leadership development opportunities for students of color with strong capabilities but limited financial resources. Over its 40-year history the Foundation has provided $60 million in grants and direct program support. JRF "Scholars" maintain a consistent nearly 100% graduation rate.
