DODGERTOWN, CALIFORNIA 90090 2009  
June 6 - The Dodgers and the United States Postal Service formally launched a new Zip Code - 90090 - for Dodgertown, California. Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt, who spearheaded the effort, made the announcement at a news conference held on the field prior to the Dodgers nationally televised home game versus the Philadelphia Phillies. Los Angeles Postmaster Mark Anderson threw out the first pitch and fans were invited to visit kiosks throughout Dodger Stadium to obtain first-day covers that will commemorate the historic date. "This announcement is an honor for the Dodgers, and particularly for our fans," said Jamie. "Letters can now be written to your favorite Dodgers at our official new Zip Code, 90090. WOMEN IN SPORTS & EVENTS AWARD 2009  
Jamie was named one of three "Women of the Year" at the 15th Annual Women in Sports and Events (WISE) luncheon. WISE annually recognizes three women who have made a significant impact on the business of sports and events. Criteria for the honor includes leadership in their field, service as a strong voice and resource for women in the industry, and exhibiting superior professionalism and performance impacting the business of sports. Additional honorees included Jacqueline Parkes, Major League Baseball's Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer, and Kathryn Carter, EVP Soccer United Marketing - MLS. The awards luncheon took place at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Tommy Lasorda provided the introduction for Jamie.
CAL STATE UNIVERSITY, DOMINGUEZ HILLS COMMENCEMENT 2009  
Jamie was the keynote speaker at the 2008-09 Graduate Commencement Ceremony at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills. The ceremony took place in the tennis stadium of the Home Depot Center located in Carson, California. 900 students received their graduate degrees in front of 8,000 faculty, family members and friends.
MILKEN INSTITUTE GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2009  
On Monday, April 27, Jamie spoke to a capacity crowd as a panelist at the Milken Institute's Global Conference held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The session was titled "Philanthropists in the New Economy." Jamie, the highest ranking female in Major League baseball, also appeared on the FOX News channel where she was interviewed about the topics discussed on the panel.
IMG'S WORLD CONGRESS OF SPORTS 2009  
On April 2, Jamie took part in a panel discussion at IMG's 8th Annual World Congress of Sports in Miami, Florida. This year the topic was "The Diversification of Sports Ownership Portfolios: The Impact on the Industry." Other panelists included: Wyc Grousbeck (Managing Partner & Governor, Boston Celtics), Jeremy Jacobs (Owner, Boston Bruins) and Ted Leonsis (Chairman & Majority Owner, Washington Capitals, Washington Mystics and Lincoln Holdings).
NETWORK 2000 KEYNOTE SPEECH 2008  
On Friday, November 14, Jamie returned to her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland to give the keynote address at a Network 2000 fundraising event. Over 1,200 people, including many of Jamie's family and friends, were enthralled as she took them on her journey from a young girl in Baltimore to the President of the Dodgers. Network 2000 is an organization of business and professional women dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in business.
ASSOCIATION FOR FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS SPEECH 2008  
On Monday, October 20, Jamie spoke to a group of approximately 500 attendees at the Association for Financial Professionals annual conference held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Drawing from her life experiences, Jamie described the practical strategies and tactical plans she has used to reinvigorate the Dodgers both financially and culturally. She has created and implemented an innovative business model that still respects baseball's grand traditions. That model has been the blueprint for much of the resurgence of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
LOS ANGELES AREA EMMY AWARDS 2008  
On September 6, 2008 the Dodgers received the prestigious Governors Award at the 60th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards. John S. Shaffner, Chairman and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, presented the award to Jamie McCourt.

The Governors Award is given each year to an individual, company, or an organization for outstanding achievement in the television arts and sciences. The Dodgers received the award for their rich fifty-year history of broadcasting in Los Angeles and their charitable endeavors throughout the Southern California community.

HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME STAR 2008  
Celebrating their 50th anniversary in Los Angeles, the Dodgers were honored Friday, June 20, 2008, by the Hollywood Historic Trust and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Dodgers owners Jamie and Frank McCourt accepted the Award of Excellence Star and commemorative plaque in recognition of the franchise's significant contributions to the community of Los Angeles and world culture and entertainment.

The Dodgers are the first sports franchise ever to receive such an honor.

The star and plaque are embedded in front of the Kodak Theater, adjacent to the constellation of stars along Hollywood Boulevard at the Hollywood and Highland complex. Such Dodgers legends and personalities as Vin Scully, Tommy Lasorda, Fernando Valenzuela, Don Newcombe, Jaime Jarrin, Ron Cey, Rick Monday, Andre Ethier, Blake DeWitt, Maury Wills, Jerry Reuss, "Sweet" Lou Johnson, and Joe Torre were among the notables in attendance.

For 50 years, the Los Angeles Dodgers have not only led the league in wins, pennants, world championships, and attendance, they have been an agent for social change and a unifier of fans from all walks of life.
ERNST & YOUNG KEYNOTE SPEECH 2008  
Jamie McCourt, the highest-ranking female in Major League Baseball, addressed more than 300 attendees at Ernst & Young's "Women Executives Connect Forum" at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles June 5, 2008.

Regaling the crowd with humorous, poignant anecdotes chronicling her career, the Dodgers' president, who speaks to audiences nationwide, presented wisdom from her life experiences that remind everyone that there are no limits, barriers, or borders to a life of success and fulfillment.
VIN SCULLY INTRODUCTION AT PEPPERDINE COMMENCEMENT 2008  
On Saturday, April 26 Vin Scully was the keynote speaker at Pepperdine University's Seaver College commencement ceremony.

DODGER STADIUM: THE NEXT 50 2008  
On April 24, the Dodgers unveiled their vision of the future at a press conference held in centerfield.

Displaying the models and illustrations that will create a "new" Dodger Stadium by the venue's 50th Anniversary in 2012, the Dodgers reiterated their commitment to this home and revealed the massive private investment that ownership would make to help ensure it's viability.
