The Dodgers 50th Anniversary official logo includes the following:
  • Five beams of light representing the five championships in Los Angeles.
  • Two palm trees representing the Dodgers two homes in Los Angeles – the Coliseum and Dodger Stadium. Palm trees are also evocative of the Dodger Stadium outfield skyline.
  • A base is prominently featured with the L.A. logo inside it representing Los Angeles as the home of the Dodgers.
  • The color gold, which is the traditional color for the 50th, or golden, anniversary.
  • Dodger blue to represent the team and the blue that graces Dodger Stadium.
  • A golden star is at the base of the logo, which symbolizes the star the Dodgers will receive on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February 2008.
Dodger home and away uniforms will feature the commemorative logo patch during the 2008 season. The logo was designed by native Los Angeles graphic designer Ross Yoshida.
