Dodgers ink Freeman, issue invite
Former first-round pick signs Minor League deal
LOS ANGELES -- Outfielder Choo Freeman, a former first-round pick released last week by the Colorado Rockies, was signed to a Minor League contract by the Dodgers and invited to Major League training camp.Freeman, 27, hit .225 with three homers and 29 RBIs in parts of three seasons with the Rockies. He's the cousin of Minnesota outfielder Torii Hunter.
