Lindsey leads LA to comeback victory
Infielder's single in ninth wins it; Johnson shines in fill-in start

Thursday, February 28 Dodgers at the plate: John Lindsey followed Jason Repko's hit-by-pitch with a two-run single with one out in the bottom of the ninth for the win. Mark Sweeney had a bases-loaded single to score Andruw Jones with the first run of the spring. Terry Tiffee's bases-loaded walk in the eighth inning tied the game. Braves at the plate: Non-roster invitee Tyler Flowers' two-run homer in the ninth inning broke a 2-2 tie. Atlanta scored twice in the seventh inning on a walk by Jordan Schafer, a double by Jeff Francoeur (who had two outfield assists), an RBI groundout by Brian McCann and an RBI single by Scott Thorman. Dodgers on the mound: Substitute starter Jason Johnson pitched two scoreless innings filling in for Chad Billingsley. Fellow non-roster pitchers Tanyon Sturtze and Mike Myers followed with one scoreless inning each. Tom Martin was charged with two earned runs in the seventh, and Brian Shackleford allowed Flowers' two-run homer. Braves on the mound: Starter Tim Hudson allowed one run on four hits and one walk over two innings. Chris Resop followed with two scoreless innings. The Dodgers tied the game with a bases-loaded walk by Matt DeSalvo, who walked three in the bottom of the ninth and suffered the loss. Up next: The Dodgers travel to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Friday at 10:05 a.m. PT, and take on the Braves at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. Right-hander Hiroki Kuroda makes his Major League debut for the Dodgers, followed by Esteban Loaiza. The Braves will start right-hander Jair Jurrjens, followed by former Dodger Buddy Carlyle. Tyler Yates, Will Ohman and Peter Moylan are also scheduled to pitch for Atlanta.
