Indians at the plate: Jhonny Peralta lofted an RBI double to center to put the Indians on the board in the first. But the big inning was the fifth. Franklin Gutierrez had an RBI double, and Casey Blake and Kelly Shoppach each had RBI singles. The first two runs of the frame came across when Asdrubal Cabrera put down a sacrifice bunt, and pitcher Jeff Ridgway's throw to first was errant. Ridgway balked home a run, as well. Shoppach added an RBI double in the seventh.

Braves at the plate: The Braves didn't notch so much as a baserunner in six innings against Tribe starter Jake Westbrook. Chipper Jones finally registered a double in the seventh for Atlanta's first hit.

Indians on the mound: Westbrook was in midseason form, pitching six perfect innings. He even had eight strikeouts, which is rare for this contact-inducing sinkerballer. Jorge Julio, looking more and more like the winner for a vacant bullpen spot, pitched a scoreless seventh in which all he allowed was Jones' two-out double.

Braves on the mound: Right-hander Buddy Carlyle, vying for a long relief job, gave up a run on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings of work. Between the balk and the error, this was a day Ridgway would like to forget. He gave up six runs, four earned, on four hits with two walks in just one inning.

Grapefruit League records: Indians 12-12-3; Braves 13-12-2.

Up next for the Indians: There likely won't be an empty seat in the house at Chain of Lakes Park on Tuesday, as the Yankees make their lone trip to Winter Haven for a 1:05 p.m. ET game. Paul Byrd will get the starting nod opposite Ian Kennedy.

Up next for the Braves: Tim Hudson will have his final Spring Training tuneup when he and the rest of the Braves travel to Port St. Lucie, Fla., to face the Mets at 1:10 p.m. He'll oppose left-hander Jonathan Niese.
