Myers not bothered by turned ankle
Phillies pitcher stumbled while running bases in Game 2
LOS ANGELES -- With his left ankle still attached, Brett Myers said that he was fine Saturday, a day after turning it while running the bases in the Phillies' 8-5 win over the Dodgers in Friday's Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.
"I went hiking today. I'm good," the Phillies pitcher said with a laugh. The right-handed-hitting star, who nearly matched his season total with three hits in Friday's win, injured himself rounding second base in the second inning. Myers then had to score from first on a third-inning triple by Shane Victorino. His ankle taped after the game, Myers said he would be fine for his next start, which would be in Game 6, if necessary.
