Dodgers pitchers combine to allow six hits against Rockies

Rockies at the plate: Matt Murton, who moved into the lineup when Jeff Baker was scratched because of a tender right elbow, had two hits and scored once. Christian Colonel knocked a two-run single. Joe Koshansky hit a two-run homer in the ninth.
Dodgers at the plate: Mitch Jones knocked a grand slam off Jason Grilli in a six-run eighth inning. Matt Kemp knocked his first home run of the spring, a two-run shot in the fifth. Juan Castro added two doubles among his three hits, Xavier Paul added two doubles, and Valentino Pascucci had three hits.
Rockies on the mound: Jason Marquis gave up one unearned run, struck out one and walked two. Jorge De La Rosa yielded the Kemp two-run shot. Manuel Corpas gave up one hit in a scoreless inning that ended with an effective slider to fan Russell Martin. Josh Fogg absorbed four runs and four hits with a walk and a hit batter. Alan Embree gave up five runs in 2/3 of an inning. Prospect Brandon Hynick threw one clean inning.
Dodgers on the mound: Starter Clayton Kershaw gave up two hits in two innings, but one was Colonel's two-run single -- a hit that diving second baseman Luis Maza nearly caught. James McDonald and gave up one hit in two scoreless innings, and Scott Elbert struck out one in a scoreless inning.
Cactus League records: Dodgers 2-2, Rockies 0-4.
Up next: The Rockies make their first trip to the new complex in Goodyear, Ariz., on Sunday to face the Indians with their top two pitchers -- righties Aaron Cook and Ubaldo Jimenez -- expected to throw.
The Dodgers, meanwhile, will play their first game at the new complex in Glendale, Ariz., against their training partner, the White Sox, on Sunday. Hiroki Kuroda, Claudio Vargas and Eric Milton will pitch for the Dodgers.
