Rockies at the plate: Todd Helton went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two walks. Seth Smith walked twice and hit a double. Ian Stewart had an RBI double and a sacrifice fly. Chris Iannetta added two hits.
Dodgers at the plate: Xavier Paul knocked a three-run triple during a five-run fourth inning. James Loney and Blake DeWitt had two hits and two RBIs apiece.
Rockies on the mound: Jorge De La Rosa was smooth for four of his five innings, but he gave up five runs and five hits in the fourth. He gave up just one other hit, walked one and struck out four. Josh Fogg yielded five hits and three runs in two innings. Huston Street gave up a bunt hit to Jovanny Rosario to open the ninth, but Rosario was caught stealing and Street ended the inning with no more damage.
Dodgers on the mound: Starter James McDonald pitched three scoreless innings, with two hits, three strikeouts and two walks to become the frontrunner for the fifth spot. Eric Milton, also vying for the fifth spot, gave up seven hits and six runs in 2 2/3 innings.
Cactus League records: Dodgers 13-14, Rockies 10-15
Up next: Opening Day starter Hiroki Kuroda starts against the Royals at Camelback Ranch-Glendale on Friday at 1:05 p.m. PT. Outfielder Manny Ramirez is scheduled to return after a day off.
