NewsTorre reiterates plans to retire after 2010
Manager will be 70 when deal expires after next season

LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers manager Joe Torre on Tuesday repeated earlier comments that he didn't expect to manage beyond next year, and again it made national headlines."I have one year on my contract and I don't anticipate it being more than that," Torre said, repeating comments he's been making since Spring Training.
Torre is in the second year of a three-year contract he signed to replace Grady Little as Dodgers manager. He will be 70 when next season is over.
Torre was asked if he thought about walking away from the game should the Dodgers win the World Series this year.
"I don't think so," he said. "It's fun. If we're fortunate enough to win the World Series, it would make that next year so much sweeter. I never get tired of this stuff, that's one thing I found out. You think once you win it, you say, 'OK, I got it, I don't need to do this anymore,' but you do. You need to do it."
The Dodgers are 182-145 under Torre and have won consecutive National League West titles for the first time since 1977-78 under Tom Lasorda.
