Dodgers, Angels flip Interleague tilts

Pair of June series exchanged due to U2 concert in Anaheim

11/09/09 5:30 PM EST

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers and Angels have agreed to swap dates for their originally scheduled Interleague series next season, a change prompted by a U2 concert to be held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

The preliminary schedule released in September had the Angels hosting the Dodgers in a weekend series June 11, 12 and 13 and the Dodgers hosting the Angels in a midweek series June 22, 23 and 24. Now the Dodgers will host the first series and the Angels will host the second.

The concert is scheduled for Sunday, June 6, but the Angels wanted additional time to ensure that the field would be returned to top condition following the concert.
