LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers optioned Jon Link to Triple-A Albuquerque after Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Yankees, an expected move to make room for Chad Billingsley, who is to come off the disabled list and start on Monday against the Giants in San Francisco.

Link, in his third stint with the big-league team this season, did not make an appearance after being called up Friday when Charlie Haeger was designated for assignment.

Billingsley, returning from a groin injury, is 6-4 with a 4.34 ERA, 69 strikeouts and 27 walks in 13 starts.
