Dodgers add two outfielders to 40-man roster
Minor Leaguers Silverio, Van Slyke protected from Rule 5 Draft

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have added Minor League outfielders Alfredo Silverio and Scott Van Slyke to the 40-man Major League roster, protecting them from the Rule 5 Draft.
Silverio, 24, hit .306 with 16 home runs and 85 RBIs last season with Double-A Chattanooga and was selected to the XM All-Star Futures Game.
Van Slyke, 25, the son of former Major Leaguer Andy Van Slyke, won the Southern League batting title with a .348 average. He had 20 home runs and 92 RBIs at Chattanooga, earning him the franchise's Minor League Player of the Year Award.
