  • Red Sox and left fielder Hanley Ramirez agree to four-year contract

    The Boston Red Sox today agreed with left fielder Hanley Ramirez on a four-year contract through the 2018 season. To make room on the 40-man roster, infielder Juan Francisco was designated for assignment. Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington made the announcement.

  • Red Sox and third baseman Pablo Sandoval agree to five-year contract

    The Boston Red Sox today agreed with two-time All-Star Pablo Sandoval on a five-year contract through the 2019 season with a club option for 2020.

  • Red Sox add four players to 40-man roster

    The Boston Red Sox today announced the following roster moves: Left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez, infielder Travis Shaw, and catcher Blake Swihart were selected to the major league roster from Triple-A Pawtucket. Infielder Sean Coyle was selected to the major league roster from Double-A Portland.

    To recognize Veterans Day and honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, members of the Red Sox front office, including alumnus Sam Horn and Wally the Green Monster, will visit Veterans Hospitals and Homeless Shelters on Tuesday, November 11.

  • Spring Training to begin February 21

    The Boston Red Sox 2015 Spring Training season begins February 21 at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Lee County, FL. Tickets for the 18 home exhibition games go on sale Saturday, December 6, and will remain at 2014 prices.
