    The Seattle Mariners will celebrate Ken Griffey Jr.'s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame with a weekend of special events at Safeco Field August 5-6-7 against the Los Angeles Angels. The highlight will be the pregame ceremony on Saturday night when the number 24 becomes the first number of a Mariners player to be retired by the franchise.

  • Ken Griffey Jr. Hall of Fame induction to benefit Seattle Children's Hospital

    Ken Griffey Jr.'s induction to the National Baseball Hall of Fame will support Seattle Children's Hospital's nationally renowned efforts to find better, more effective treatments for children battling cancer. In honor of Griffey's induction, a limited edition commemorative bat has been created with proceeds from the sale going to an endowment in Griffey's name at Seattle Children's Hospital.
