Los Angeles Dodgers introduce '$2 True Blue Tuesdays' at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES -- To show appreciation for the longtime loyal support of their fans, the defending National League Western Division champion Los Angeles Dodgers announced today that they will be hosting "$2 True Blue Tuesdays" at Dodger Stadium during the 2005 season.

"$2 True Blue Tuesdays," presented by General Motors, gives fans the opportunity to purchase tickets on the Reserve Level, Top Deck and the Pavilions for only $2 each. Fans are also encouraged to show their Dodger spirit by wearing blue to the game.

The first "$2 True Blue Tuesday" is slated for April 26 when the Dodgers host the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10 p.m. at Dodger Stadium. The next "$2 True Blue Tuesday" will be on May 3 against the Washington Nationals.

Also at the Tuesday, April 26 game, one lucky fan will win a 2005 Cadillac CTS as the first of 12 cars given away in the "GM Drive 'Em Home Tuesdays" sweepstakes, presented by the Dodgers and General Motors. Fans having their tickets scanned at the turnstiles will automatically be entered in the sweepstakes. They can also enter by visiting No purchase is necessary to win and the winner must be at least 18 years of age. A Cadillac CTS will also be given away during the May 3 game with the Nationals.

The Guinness World Records Book recently recognized the Dodger organization as having registered the highest cumulative home attendance for any sports franchise. Since 1901, the Dodgers have played before more than 166,000,000 fans. In 2004, the Dodgers drew 3,488,283 fans to Dodger Stadium for the third-highest single-season total in club history and the Major League-record 19th time they have reached the three-million mark in home attendance.
