The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Oakland Athletics Minor League player Raul Padron has received a 50-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension will be effective at the start of the 2008 season.
Padron spent the 2007 season with Single-A Stockton of the California League.
