Dodgers Media Network Takes Highest Honors at 31st Annual Telly Awards

The Dodgers Media Network was recently recognized with two Silver Telly Awards, the highest honor at the 31st Annual Telly Awards. The Dodgers' entries were among nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries with less than 10 percent of entries taking highest honors, the Silver Telly. The Dodgers Media Network took Silver in the Online Video Sports category for "Inside Dodgertown: Randy Wolf Philly Cheese Steak" feature and in the Entertainment category for the "Dodgers Blue Carpet: 'The Office' Set Tour" feature.

The Telly Awards, founded in 1978 and based in New York, are the premier awards honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

The Dodgers Media Network was awarded the highest honor in the Online Video Sports Category for "Inside Dodgertown: Randy Wolf Philly Cheese Steak." This feature was created during 2009 postseason play in Philadelphia and includes a tour of the former Dodger pitcher's favorite cheese steak restaurant. Other Online Silver Video winners included CBS Interactive, AEG Networks, Discovery Channel, Disney Destinations LLC, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Brothers/Alcon and PGA Tour Productions.

"The Dodgers Blue Carpet: 'The Office' Set Tour" also won a Silver Telly in the Entertainment category. This feature showcased a set tour of NBC's Emmy Award-winning comedy "The Office," given by Brian Baumgartner. Other winners included ESPN, ESPN International, CBS Television, E! Entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios, NBC Universal, Fox Sports, Golf Channel, FOX, CMT, PBS, NASCAR, MLB Productions, New York Jets, Winter Olympics 2010 Broadcast, Discovery Channel, History Channel, National Geographic and the Dallas Cowboys.
