The Dodgers announced today that right fielder Andre Ethier's bobblehead giveaway presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino scheduled for July 7 will don the Dodgers 1940s Brooklyn uniform worn by the team each midweek day game this season. The Ethier throwback bobblehead (photos attached) is one of 6 bobblehead giveaways scheduled. Tonight, all Ethier merchandise is 30 percent off in-stadium, as numerous fans sitting on the Field and Loge level participated in last week's 30-hour $30 sale celebrating Ethier's 30-game hitting streak.

The upcoming bobblehead marks Ethier's second, as last season he joined a lengthy list of Dodgers that have been turned into this collectible item. The history of Dodger bobbleheads spans more than a decade. The complete list of Dodger promotional bobbleheads was first unveiled on the Dodgers' official blog "Inside the Dodgers" in response to a fan's inquiry via @Dodgers twitter. The complete list can be found here: http://insidethedodgers.mlblogs.com/2011/05/01/dodger-bobbleheads-in-history/. Prior to bobbleheads made in the image and likeness of Dodgers past and present, the Dodgers sold generic bobbleheads, both ceramic and later plastic, as far back as the team's first days at Dodger Stadium in 1962.

This season, as part of the Dodgers' most robust promotional schedule ever, Ethier's throwback bobblehead scheduled for July 7 (vs. NYM) is one of six bobblehead promotions and the fourth in the series. A Clayton Kershaw Bobblehead presented by Bank of America (tomorrow vs. MIL), Don Mattingly Bobblehead presented by Carl's Jr. (6/1 vs. COL) and Hong-Chih Kuo Bobblehead presented by Taiwan Tourism Bureau (6/14 vs. CIN) precede Ethier's. The 2011 Bobblehead series concludes with the Fernandomania Bobblehead presented by Kaiser Permanente (7/26 vs. COL) and the Duke Snider Bobblehead presented by State Farm (8/9 vs. PHI).

Additionally, the Dodgers now offer an Ultimate Giveaway Plan that features 8 games and 10 collectible Dodger promotional items including all 2011 Dodger bobbleheads. The 8-game Mini Plan starts at $96 for seats in between the bases on the Infield Reserve level with savings of up to 64 percent off box office pricing. Fans that purchase this Ultimate Giveaway Plan will receive all six bobbleheads.

Fans can view complete details on the new 8-game Mini Plan at dodgers.com/miniplans. Information on the Dodgers' midweek day games and all bobblehead promotional nights can be found at dodgers.com/promotions or by calling 866-DODGERS.
