Penny, out since June 15 with shoulder tendinitis, is scheduled to start for the Dodgers on Friday night in San Francisco if he comes out of this outing healthy.
At San Bernardino, reliever Scott Proctor pitched two-thirds of an inning in a rehab appearance for Class A Inland Empire, charged with three runs (one earned) with three hits and a strikeout. He has been on the disabled list since June 22 with elbow tendinitis.
