Dodgers coaching staff to return in '09
Torre to work with same cast that helped send LA to NLCS

Hitting coach Don Mattingly, pitching coach Rick Honeycutt, third-base coach Larry Bowa, first-base coach Mariano Duncan, bench coach Bob Schaefer and bullpen coach Ken Howell will continue in the roles they held at the end of the 2008 season.
Honeycutt and Duncan are holdovers from former manager Grady Little's staff. Bowa, Schaefer and Howell were hired by Torre. Mattingly originally was hired by Torre to be the hitting coach, stepped aside to handle family matters before Spring Training started, then reclaimed the hitting coach job from Mike Easler at the All-Star break.
Special hitting coach Manny Mota (entering his 30th season as a Dodgers coach) and bullpen catchers Mike Borzello and Rob Flippo also will return.
Jeff Pentland, hired July 1 after being dismissed as Seattle's hitting instructor, returns as an instructor. Pentland spent most of his time after joining the Dodgers working with struggling slugger Andruw Jones.
