"That was just me and Thome talking," Ramirez said Monday.
"Manny was very sincere when he brought that up to me," Thome told USA Today. "Manny was saying how special that would be for us to both go back together. He was very passionate. Baseball's such a weird thing. You never know what's going to happen."Agent Scott Boras also dismissed the suggestion that Ramirez was laying the groundwork for leaving.
"Manny has been very happy in L.A. and will continue to be happy in L.A.," said Boras. "But he did enjoy his time in Cleveland. Manny notices the difference here than other places. If I came here and hit .400, I'd be comfortable."
