Dodgers option Wade to Triple-A

Belisario to begin rehab assignment at Class A on Tuesday

ATLANTA -- The Dodgers made two bullpen decisions Sunday, optioning Cory Wade to Triple-A Albuquerque and sending disabled right-hander Ronald Belisario out for a rehab assignment to start Tuesday night.

Wade had been on a rehab assignment for a right shoulder strain with Triple-A Albuquerque and technically was activated off the disabled list, then optioned.

"It's one of those things," said manager Joe Torre. "We have no room. It's a nice problem to have, a little depth."

The "problem" will become evident again by the end of next week if Belisario's rehab assignment goes well. Torre said Belisario will pitch at Class A San Bernardino on Tuesday and again toward the end of the week before management decides if he's ready to be activated.

Unlike Wade, who struggled to a 5.53 ERA this year after an impressive rookie season, the rookie Belisario was a key contributor in the Dodgers' first-half run, compiling a 2.42 ERA in 43 games until going down with an elbow strain July 6.
