Weaver tosses 50-pitch bullpen session
Manny receiving treatment on strained right calf

Ramirez, who reported to Dodger Stadium on Sunday for treatment on his strained right calf, was scheduled for an afternoon appointment in Los Angeles with Dr. Neal ElAttrache, a likely MRI and possibly a platelet-rich plasma injection, the new treatment of choice for soft-tissue injuries.
At the time manager Joe Torre spoke with the media after Monday night's game was rained out, the club had not heard from ElAttrache.
Weaver -- whose back strain probably wouldn't have put him on the disabled list if the Dodgers hadn't had Hong-Chih Kuo ready for activation -- was fit enough to throw a 50-pitch bullpen session. Weaver said he felt fine and expected to throw off the mound every other day until he is eligible to be activated on May 7. Weaver is a likely candidate to then replace the injured Vicente Padilla in the rotation.
