Dodgers to raise funds for injured Giants fan
By Alden Gonzalez / MLB.com
Assisting the Dodgers in the relief effort will be American Medical Response, the club's media partners -- KCAL 9, Prime Ticket, KABC 790 and Univision Radio -- and the Los Angeles Times.
The event will last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT and will be held at Parking Lot 1 of Dodger Stadium. At noon, several community supporters are scheduled to be on hand.
Monetary donations of cash and checks will be accepted, with checks being made out to the "Bryan Stow Fund." Contributions will also be accepted via PayPal and online at sfpcu.org.
Stow, a Giants fan, was injured by two unidentified assailants in the Dodger Stadium parking lot on March 31 and was recently said to be in critical condition. On Wednesday, the Dodgers hired Kroll chairman and former L.A. police chief William J. Bratton to advise the team on procedures and policies related to security and fan services.
