McCourt thanks Dodgers employees in email
By Ken Gurnick / MLB.com
The email read as follows:
"To all my colleagues at the Los Angeles Dodgers,
"I apologize for the delay in getting this letter to you, but as you know, we have been involved in many things related to selecting the winning bidder between last night and today. As you now should be aware, we selected Guggenheim Baseball Management LLC, which consists of Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Mark R. Walter, Peter Guber, Stan Kasten, Bobby Patton, and Todd Boehly as the winning bidder for the Dodgers.
"I want to express my sincere appreciation to our entire organization for its dedication and support. Regardless of the difficult public spotlight we as an organization have had to operate within over the past several years, we can all be very proud of the significant turnaround we have achieved on behalf of the Los Angeles Dodgers. It is a turnaround that has, among its highlights, returning the Dodger organization to profitability; developing a highly competitive baseball team for the field, including winning four titles in the last eight years; and making the Dodgers a meaningful contributor to the community.
"The Dodgers intend to successfully complete the Chapter 11 reorganization process and emerge from bankruptcy on April 30."
McCourt is expected to meet with company employees on Monday.
