Sharon Robinson will not only be representing her family on the board, but also the Jackie Robinson Foundation. The Dodgers' new ownership will also select a representative to serve on the foundation's board.
Robinson was on hand at Yankee Stadium on April 15 to celebrate the anniversary of the day her father broke the color barrier and will be at Dodger Stadium next season to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day.
"We're excited. We're looking forward to being out there April 15," she said before Game 3 of the World Series.
The Dodgers declined to comment publicly on the agreement, with several details still set to be ironed out.
It is Robinson's hope that the partnership will help the foundation fund more college scholarships, as well as build a Jackie Robinson Museum in New York.
"We don't see it as a sports museum," she told the paper. "We see it as a civil rights museum."
