J.D. Drew homered in the fourth inning and Jeff Kent added a solo blast in the seventh but that was it for the Dodgers, who fell in the series opener to the red-hot Diamondbacks. Derek Lowe struggled out of the gate, allowing three runs in the opening inning before settling down.
