Luis Gonzalez, who is from nearby Tampa, homered at Tropicana Field and drove in a pair of runs to give him 119 RBIs in Interleague Play. The veteran, starting at designated hitter, had two of the Dodgers' 16 hits, which proved to be enough support for Derek Lowe to pick up his eighth win.

Andy Sonnanstine allowed four runs in seven innings, and Delmon Young narrowed an early deficit with a homer in the seventh -- one of his three hits. But Gary Glover gave up two runs in the eighth, and Tampa Bay was unable to break through in the ninth.
