Stults halts Rockies' hit parade
Bats wake up too late
Josh Fogg stifled the Dodgers after the second inning, allowing one run in his final 4 2/3 frames. But Fogg allowed L.A. to bat around in the five-run second, and Colorado was unable to recover. Two of the Rockies' six hits came in the ninth inning, including Garrett Atkins' 18th home run.

Series at a glance:
Rookie stifles Colorado
Eric Stults retired the final 13 batters he faced, completing seven strong innings of two-run ball. The rookie struck out nine and allowed just two hits to the powerful Rockies offense. The bulk of support for Stults came in a five-run second inning, which started with Jeff Kent's 16th home run.
