Utility infielder Ramon Martinez had three RBIs, including a two-run single in the eighth inning that gave L.A. the lead for good. That picked up Scott Proctor, who allowed a homer in the top of the frame. Brad Penny labored through five innings, yet only allowed one run on two hits, but he was denied his 15th win.
