Dodgers use sixth sense
Nats power up in loss
The Nationals built an early lead behind three long balls, but starter Mike Bacsik could not make it hold up. Dmitri Young and Ryan Zimmerman hit solo shots, and Wily Mo Pena crushed a two-run dinger despite fouling a pitch off his foot earlier in the at-bat. He hobbled around the bases before leaving with a left foot contusion.

Series at a glance:
Dodgers erupt in sixth
Down by a pair of runs heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Dodgers took the lead before the Nationals knew what hit them. Four consecutive singles, including RBI hits by Russell Martin and James Loney, and a sac fly by Ramon Martinez put L.A. ahead for good. Derek Lowe won his third straight start despite allowing three homers for the first time since 2005.
