Kemp goes yard

Ace Brad Penny didn't have his best stuff, as he couldn't coax any of the 23 Nats batters he faced into an 0-2 count and allowed an uncharacteristic six runs in five innings. But thanks to Matt Kemp's solo homer in the seventh, the finale went to extras and Shea Hillenbrand's sac fly won it in the 12th.
