Rookie Mat Gamel gave the Brewers a one-run lead in the eighth inning with a solo homer, but Trevor Hoffman was unable to nail down the save as the Dodgers forced extras. In the 10th, Carlos Villanueva was tagged for six runs and took the loss. J.J. Hardy homered and drove in three runs.
