By Matthew Leach / MLB.com
With the help of four double plays, Chris Carpenter allowed just one run in seven-plus innings, lowering his ERA to 2.19. A four-run seventh inning, sparked by Mark DeRosa's homer to lead off the frame, blew the game open after Matt Holliday opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first in his Busch Stadium debut.
