The Dodgers got a solid start from Randy Wolf, who allowed just two runs in six innings but back-to-back sixth-inning homers from Manny Ramirez and Matt Kemp weren't enough. During the game, the club acquired RHP Jon Garland from the D-backs and Jim Thome from the White Sox, to bolster their roster.
