San Francisco's slumbering offense wasn't able to pick up southpaw Jonathan Sanchez, who allowed five runs in only 4 1/3 innings and picked up his 12th loss of the season. With the setback, the Giants fell to 8 1/2 games behind the first-place Dodgers in the National League West.
