Free-agency period delayed
Player to become free agents on Sunday, Oct. 30
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
NEW YORK -- The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) and the Office of the Commissioner today announced that in connection with the collective bargaining process they have agreed to delay the start of the free agency period for 24 hours, to 12:01 a.m. EST, Sunday, Oct. 30.

The MLBPA will release the list of Free Agents and potential Free Agents on Sunday, October 30. Free agents will continue to be able to sign contracts with new Clubs beginning 12:01 a.m. EST Thursday, Nov. 3.
