  • June 27, 1931

    Pinky Whitney sets club record for most consecutive games driving in a run, 10, at Baker Bowl against the Pirates.

  • June 27, 1963

    RF Johnny Callison hits for the Phillies' first cycle in 30 years in a 13-4 victory at Pittsburgh. In the same game, CF Tony Gonzalez's seventh-inning error ends his major league record for outfielders of 205 consecutive errorless games.

  • June 27, 1980

    LHP Steve Carlton fans the Mets' Elliott Maddox in the fifth inning, his 1,872nd strike out as a Phillie, establishing a new team record. He also gets the win in a 3-2 victory.

  • June 27, 2007

    1B Ryan Howard hits a 505-foot home run, setting records for the longest blast at Citizens Bank Park and the fastest player to 100 home runs (325 games). Phillies lose to the Reds 9-6.

  • June 28, 1994

    LHP Fernando Valenzuela, signed out of the Mexican League, makes his debut for the Phillies with a no-decision in a 2-1 loss to Florida. Valenzuela allows an unearned run on six hits in six innings.

    3B David Bell hits for the cycle in 14-6 win over Montreal at Citizens Bank Park. Grandfather Gus Bell did it in 1951 against the Phillies at Shibe Park. Each happened on a Monday night.

  • June 28, 2011

    Cliff Lee is the third Phils pitcher to toss 3 consecutive shutouts (3-0 vs. FL, 6/16; 4-0 at StL, 6/22, 4-0 vs. BOS). He joins Grover Cleveland Alexander (1916) and Robin Roberts (1950). Alexander holds club record with 4 in a row in September 1911.

  • June 29, 1987

    RHP Steve Bedrosian sets a major league record with his 12th consecutive save in a 6-5 decision over Pittsburgh at the Vet. He extends the record to 13 the next day but sees the streak end on July 2.

  • June 30, 1892

    Phillies end with a 22-5 record for the month, the most wins in June in club history.

  • June 30, 1938

    In final game at Baker Bowl, New York beats the Phillies, 14-1, before 1,500 fans. Following a road trip, the Phillies move permanently to Shibe Park on July 4.

  • June 30, 1967, 2nd game

    Playing his ninth position since joining the Phillies in 1963, super-sub Cookie Rojas pitches a scoreless ninth inning in a 12-3 loss to San Francisco, allowing one hit.

  • July 1, 1931

    Chuck Klein is fourth Phillies player to hit for the cycle in 11-6 victory over Chicago Cubs at Baker Bowl. Right fielder tripled in the first, singled in the fifth, doubled in the sixth and led off the eighth with his 21st home run.

  • July 2, 1993

    In a 12-hour, five-minute doubleheader, Mitch Williams' RBI single in the 10th inning gives the Phils a 6-5 2nd-game victory in a game that ended at 4:40 a.m. No big league game ever finished that late before.

  • July 2, 2004

    Phillies set club record for most walks drawn in a game with 18, but lose, 7-6, in 16 innings to Baltimore Orioles at Citizens Bank Park.

  • July 3, 1917

    RHP Grover Cleveland Alexander pitches 5-0 and 9-3 complete-game wins in a doubleheader at Brooklyn, walking only one batter.

  • July 3, 1983

    LHP Willie Hernandez ties club record for relief pitchers by striking out the first six batters he faces as Phillies beat New York Mets, 6-4, at Veterans Stadium.
