Russell Nathan Jeanson Coltrane Martin Jr...single...will wear the letter "J" on his back in addition to Martin this season in tribute to his mother's side of the family, who's last name is Jeanson...was slated to attend North Carolina State University before being drafted by the Dodgers... graduate of Polyvalente Edouard-Montpetit High School in Montreal, the same high school attended by former Dodger Eric Gagné...lived in Paris from age 8-10...took part in the 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 Dodger Caravans...his father, Russell Sr., is an accomplished saxophone player and played the National Anthem on his sax before the Dodgers' contest with the Pirates on Sept. 20, 2006...is an avid "Guitar Hero" player and took part in a Sports Illustrated for Kids "Guitar Hero" photo shoot alongside James Loney last season...was featured on the television show EXTRA in 2007 as one of America's Most Eligible Bachelors...on Aug. 9, 2006 visited Childrens Hospital Los Angeles with Dodger Owner Frank McCourt and teammates Rafael Furcal and Chad Billingsley where he spent time in the Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases...made a return visit on June 13, 2007...signed by Dodger scout Clarence Johns.
