The Blue Jays believe that having a safe environment should be the right of all children and youth. Jays Care Foundation helps build and develop these safe places, where children and youth can play baseball, spend time with their friends, develop life-skills and learn from positive role models. Jays Care Foundation has invested more than $4 million in the creation of 40 safe youth spaces – including 20 baseball fields – across Canada to date, in an effort to provide these opportunities to children and youth across Canada.
In 2013, Jays Care disbursed more than $772,000 in Field of Dreams funding to eight charitable and community groups to build safe youth spaces from coast to coast. These organizations include:

An online letter of inquiry must be submitted to determine whether the project meets the basic criteria of Jays Care Foundation's Field of Dreams program. The submission deadline has passed.
By MARCH 2015, your organization will be notified if it has been invited to submit a full proposal. Invited organizations will be required to submit more detailed information that will create a better understanding of the project and how it corresponds to the mandate and evaluation criteria of Jays Care Foundation.
Proposals will be reviewed by Jays Care Foundation and you may be contacted for a follow up meeting to discuss your proposal. Jays Care Foundation's Board of Directors will review all recommendations and determine which projects are to be funded. Field of Dreams funding will be awarded by JUNE 2015.
